Wellbeing is the combination of many aspects, including your physical, emotional, financial, and social health. As a University-sponsored Health Plan member, you have access to various resources to support your overall health and wellbeing.
Student Health Benefits Plan Resources
As a member of the Student Health Benefit plan, you have access to a variety of wellbeing resources created for University of Minnesota students.
- Learn to Live: Get help with stress, depression, social anxiety, substance use, and insomnia. Online programs are available to students who pay the Students Services Fee (SSF) through Learn to Live. The programs are confidential, available at no cost, and completed at your own pace. Students who pay the SSF can visit the Learn to Live website and enter code “UMN” for access.
- Doctor on Demand: See a doctor right on your smartphone, tablet or computer with the Doctor On Demand® app. Board-certified doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists are available to diagnose and treat many common conditions. This app allows you to see a provider after hours or when you're unable to visit your student clinic (Boynton Health). Visit the Doctor on Demand website to get started.
- Sharecare online health and wellbeing platform: Provides tools, insights and information on how to improve your health and wellbeing. Login or register and click on “Sharecare” to get started.
- Maternity Management: Gives members in-depth education tools and provides answers for any maternity questions along the way.
- Tobacco Support Program: Helps you take the first step to becoming nicotine-free.

Graduate Assistant Health Plan Resources
As a member of the Student Health Benefit plan, you have access to a variety of wellbeing resources.
- Blue Care Advisor: Seamlessly connect to all of your benefits, claims, programs, and more. You'll receive information based on your benefits and history along with recommendations on steps you can take to improve your health. Log in or create your member account or download the app for Android or iOS to get started.
- Learn to Live: Get help with stress, depression, social anxiety and insomnia. These online programs are confidential, available at no cost to you and completed at your own pace. Visit the Learn to Live website and enter code “UMN” for access.
- RecWell Gym Discount (Twin Cities Campus): Receive an $80 discount on a gym membership each semester at RecWell if you do not pay the Student Services Fee. Contact “Member Services” at the University Recreation and Wellness Center - Minneapolis campus to update or start your membership, and let them know you would like the Boynton discounted rate. The gym discount program is structured so the discount is taken off upfront. If you have questions, please contact the Member Services office at (612) 626-9222 and press “0” or email [email protected].

- Amplifon Hearing Discount Program: Access a hearing discount program at no cost through Delta Dental membership. Amplifon has more than 2,600 credentialed locations for you to choose from. Key program features include: Low pricing on hearing aids from multiple manufacturers; Three-year manufacturer’s warranty, loss, and damage coverage; Two years of free batteries; A 60-day trial period with no restocking fees; and a simple 3-step enrollment process.
