Graduate Assistant Health Plan Overview
The Office of Student Health Benefits (OSHB) administers health, dental, and pharmacy benefits, and enrollment for all eligible University of Minnesota (UMN) students, graduate assistants, residents, fellows, and interns.
The University of Minnesota’s Graduate Assistant Health Plan (GAHP) is a cost-effective, comprehensive health plan designed to meet the unique needs of UMN students.
With access to thousands of providers and hospitals in BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota's worldwide network, the GAHP provides students with year-round coverage in-network with a variety of medical facilities on and near the UMN campus. The GAHP puts your needs first and travels with you when you need to access healthcare outside of Minnesota.
Available benefits:
- Medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota
- Built-in dental benefit for services at on-campus providers
- Pharmacy benefits
