The University of Minnesota’s Student Health Benefits Plan (SHBP) is a cost-effective, comprehensive health plan designed to meet the unique needs of University students.
Key features of the plan include:
- 100% coverage of preventative care
- $250 deductible
- 80% coverage of eligible expenses after meeting the deductible
- Access to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota worldwide network
- Year-round coverage when enrolled in both Fall and Spring terms
Network and claims administration services for the Student Dental Plans are provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.
Enrollment
During open enrollment, you will be prompted to enroll in the Student Health Benefit Plan in the MyU Student Center.
